1 Equipments Handling • Calibrate tests, run QC, conducts performance checks on all clinical laboratory equipment • Train new joiners on running the instrument • Trouble shooting of minor problems related to hard ware and QC related issues 2 Perform Investigation • Check daily QC • Ensure timely and proper collection, transportation and storage of samples • Perform the investigations on patient samples following SOP and QC protocol. • Conduct biochemical examinations on body fluids, such as blood or urine, semi-automated or fully automated analysers to detect abnormalities or diseases and enter findings into LIS • Maintain Turn Around Time of reports & assist in interpretation of results • Relay result to attending physician in case of critical or panic value 3 Records & Documentation • Proper maintenance of documents and records of laboratory • Maintain confidentiality of patients files • Enter analysis of medical tests or clinical results into LIS and validate the results provisionally • Record QC data • Maintain the log books, temperature sheets L.J graphs files, etc. 4 Adherence to standard procedures • Follow the house keeping procedures • Follow safe waste disposal procedure • Follow infectious materials procedures 5 Ensure Maintenance of Standards & Protocols • Ensure all investigations are performed following the SOP & QC protocol • Ensure maintenance of safe waste disposal procedure and all other standard protocols • Performs and reviews quality controls in testing; decides if results of QC are within acceptable ranges, take corrective action in case of outliers
