Nutritional management of children with diabetes is an extremely challenging task. The diet needs to be balanced in such a way that it comprises nutrition-rich food that helps age-appropriate growth and development, but also keep the blood sugar levels well I control to prevent further complications in future.
A one-day CME on Nutritional management of children with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus was conducted at Aster Medcity on 7 May 2018. Organised jointly by the Aster Centre of Excellence in Child & Adolescent Health and IAP Kochi Branch, the CME had several experts from the field of Paediatrics, Endocrinology and Nutrition speaking about how good nutrition can help children with diabetes live a healthy, fulfilling life.
