Did you know that the only potential cure to many blood diseases including blood cancer is bone marrow transplant, which, many a times, requires blood stem cell from an unrelated donor? This is because most of the time, the possibility of finding a perfect match from siblings / family members is only around 30%. This in turn means that 70% of people with life-threatening blood diseases or disorders need to depend on complete strangers to save their lives.
You too can give a second chance at life to someone by donating blood stem cells. It’s a simple, safe process that has no harmful side effects. Your blood stem cells will replenish itself in a matter of few weeks.
Aster Medcity, in association with DATRI Stem Cell Donor Registry is conducting a week-long Stem Cell Awareness & Donation Camp, from the 8th to the 15th of June. 2018, at Aster Medcity. Volunteers of DATRI will perform blood stem cell donor screening in front of the Seminar Hall on the Lower Ground Floor at Aster Medcity on these days.
